Finally, 2006... Here comes 2007

Hey there!

是去年没立下new year resolution 吗? 还是会籍着“A picture paints a thousand words”的主旨上载大量照片!

1st attainment: my First live-in with friends, renting a whole flat.

May 2006, I got shifted! From that small little cubicle I got myself a LARGER…….. cubicle..

Sorry the rest of the pictures like our rooms and other parts of it are pretty screwed or I’m just not permitted to put it up here. It’s a 3-room (2 rooms 1 hall = 3 rooms...) HDB flat in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4. Not sure where it is? I usually board the nearest mrt at Yio Chu Kang station. It’s pretty comfortable and sophisticated given the original lighting used in this house and its convenient neighborhood with market is just 1 block away and the almost nicest 煮炒 in AMK is just right downstairs. A bit packed with the shoppers down there, but of course it’s not like that in the house so... Everybody who lives in this house is contented and who are they? They are none other than…

Yea these people were so contented we even named our wireless network’s SSID as 3LittlePigs! Lame… But seriously, I am blessed with their companion most of the time. They really are my best buds in Singapore and I comfortably enjoy every moment being with them. Not sure if u girls feel the same but at times I feel we really are confidant for each other, exchange genuine opinions (helped me in my decision-making), cry out problems at works to each other, go shopping, drinking, movies… We often have very similar sense in food or fashion at times… Thanks for being there you two sis!

2nd attainment: (Well this is going to be long…) My first fashion phone cum most expensive gift from a friend cum first Samsung phone!

source: www.gsmarena.com (My favourite phone-browsing site).

It gives me the basic needs that I require to an up-to-date phone: Camera, mp3 player, built-in speaker, extendable memory space and Bluetooth. This phone is known for its eccentric touch-sensitive control pad like LGA chocolate! But I’d rather it to have additional basic features like… radio. Why wouldn’t u have radio feature on your mp3 player?! It’s something additional you can hook on to it while being sick of selecting your songs to play from your play list! Ok you gotta have a darn good reason for that… Ok back to the phone, besides without radio there’s a couple of cons here. The 2 megapixel camera doesn’t have auto-focus. How can u use a digital camera without auto-focus?! I’m not utilizing the camera as much because I don’t enjoy looking at blur photos! Gosh… Okay am not going to rub into it. Another one from fussy me, the vibration. Can somebody tell me does all Samsung phones work this way? If I activate the vibration mode, the ringing will comes after the vibration. Music and vibration just don’t go huh… I matter-of-factly missed calls almost everyday. So if I miss yours it’s this new guy to be blamed… haha!

3rd Attainment: My first full forced musical drama. (Not so typical it is.)

source: http://www.srt.com.sg/

I seriously enjoyed. Bought the program booklet and again, regret not buying the musical’s CD! I thought I could just download a song or two… These are collectible aren’t they? What was I thinking… Anyway I do admire Kit Chan. She was expectedly incredible doing musicals. She’s not really tall isn’t she? Tell me about “chili padi”… I must mention the exclusively simple props! Well you can say it’s not up to international standard or it seems like a cheap and easy high school production, but the divertible props makes the storyline flows very slickly.

4th Attainment: My very first lapppie a.k.a. laptop! (My 2nd Samsung.)

Source: (http://www.samsungcomputer.com )

Can somebody just tell me how do you distinguish “notebook” and “laptop”? Or there isn’t any difference? I’m exceptionally curious!

And then again, it has my basic requirement being a lappie. Light as it is going to be very portable as what it is made of, slightly-higher battery life, comfortable touch (mouse) pad (I despise the smooth surface type like your finger will stick on it if it’s damp. Not that I have sticky/wet palms guys…), Bluetooth enabled, wide-screen and not too big a size (It’s a “portable” pc like I said…), and the rest of the specifications that meet my requirements (for now…)! It has been reliable thus far and it will be…. (cross-fingers)! Some said it’s too small a screen and with my 1280x800 resolution it is eyesight-torturing. But I have no problem looking at it for more than 5 hours incessantly. It’s quite easy to get used to the size and Samsung offers very soothing color displays for monitors which my eyes is obsessed with! No la exaggerating only…

5th Attainment: It’s Taiwan! (台中to be exact.)

Sorry if my shooting skills sucks. Taiwan really doesn't look as dull as my picture...

Why do I take so many pictures on 皮肤病 clinics…

Oh how was the food...?

I’m about to tuck this piece of Pork’s blood rice into my mouth and you think I can cry in front of the camera?!?!? Look how excited they are holding the same food.

Do u think she looks like Shu Qi? I’d say the better-looking version of Shu Qi.

Other than intestines the rest of them are pretty tantalizing.

This is 醉酒鸡。I want to bring them for our 黄酒鸡 in KL! Similar but theirs have MORE liquor, MORE herbs but MORE bitter. Or maybe it’s just different type of herbs and liquor.

What I intend to show in this photo was the mee suah. Taiwan is famous of its mee suah and it really was astonishingly tasty. It’s astonishing because you don’t expect that neat taste in such plain-looking served noodles (at the most right).

Very entertaining trip I had although it was work not leisure. These Taiwanese colleagues are friendly and understanding remarkable souls where they can get so close amongst even if it’s their first-day! My bunch of Taiwanese colleagues here do possess brilliant brains while at work and they are determine and the type that work to succeed and no-nonsense. It’s cool working with them. It’s challenging, but comforting at the same time! BWL TW you will be missed.
